Homage to the Youth Sudhana-śreṣṭhi-dāraka in His Twenty-seventh Practice And Study
—By Ven. Dao Ran
A long time ago, there was a young Buddhist named Sudhana,
Who was exhorted by Bodhisattva Mañjuśrī to pursue and fulfill his religious vows in the path of Samantabhadra.
He came to Pu Tuo Mountain in his twenty-seventh practice and study,
Hoping to perceive Thusness, and know true peace.
There was Vigorous Bodhisattva and he was meditating in the lotus posture,
His power of Great Compassion benefiting all sentient beings.
Whom were all taught equally, protecting them from regression.
Nets of radiance and purity, so inconceivable!
The Buddhists should follow the practices of Sudhana,
Learn the Dharma and progress onward to enlightenment.
When you are endowed with merits and skillful-means,
Enlightenment will be accomplished and the Nirvana finally reached!
