平等悲心與勝觀智慧

  佛陀殊勝的教法在2500年後的今天仍俱吸引力,並依舊適應予現代人的感知。

  他是如何去概括描述我們的困境?

  他見到我們人類從出生到死亡是完全忽略了自己的真正本性,取而代之的只有不斷的不安、不滿、沒有安全感、缺乏所需等等苦受。

  我們其實都在尋找著同一寶藏,不是金礦,而是真正恆久的快樂,從輪迴中醒覺而證悟,我們首先需要從目前的心理狀態變成為生動清醒的意識,為什麼?因為當下的一刹那不但含藏著所有苦與樂的種子,更是同時俱備解脫覺悟的潛能。

  那麼,我們應該灌溉那一顆種子?

  佛法內含科學,通過禪修,我們學會轉化凡塵俗世的執迷和頑強習氣,並親身體驗到內在佛性:每一個眾生都本俱佛性(俱生清淨本性)只是暫時被無明障敝,一旦我們能認知及了悟這本性,我們就能轉苦成樂,開展出仁愛,智慧及慈悲,成就與佛陀無異的果位。

  今日就讓我們深思反省一下,究竟是什麼構成這無明及無知的生活,我們需要膽量去質疑這問題!其實佛法修持就是一種自救療法,所以在這緊急關頭(當前急務,事不宜遲)請馬上積極採取行動,當下正是解脫的大好時機。

After 2500 years, the Buddha’s profound and timeless message still appeals to our modern everyday common sense. How did he sum up our predicament? He saw that, from cradle to grave, we human beings completely ignore our true nature. Instead, we suffer from ongoing feelings of insecurity, lack and dissatisfaction.

We’re all seeking the same ‘buried treasure’ — not gold, but genuine lifelong happiness. To awaken to enlightenment, first we should become vividly conscious of our present state of mind. Why? Because this present moment contains all the seeds of our future happiness and sorrow, as well as our imminent potential for liberation and enlightenment. Which seeds shall we water?

Buddhism is the 'science of what lies within'. Through meditation, we learn to transform ourselves by turning our fixation away from the busy outside world and examining what lies within — our Buddha Nature. This natural state of mind dwells within each and every one of us, yet it is temporarily concealed. Once we recognize and actualize its basic goodness, we can turn our sufferings into joy, unfold loving kindness, wisdom, and compassion and become identical with all the Buddhas.

Today, let’s take a deep look at what constitutes unenlightened living. This inquiry will take guts on our part. In fact, Dharma practice takes “self-help therapy” to a whole new level.  We’re in a state of emergency. We need to act now and our steps must be bold. It’s time for liberation.
